Climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges, and AT&T believes businesses can be part of the solution. Climate Change will impact all business, including their employees and customers. AT&T is working to assess the risks of climate change so they can make smarter, climate-informed decisions for the future. These actions demonstrate how business can help build a more resilient future.

As part of its climate adaptation strategy AT&T has engaged the U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory on an industry-leading Climate Resiliency Project to better anticipate, prepare for and adapt to the impacts of climate change. This project led to the development of the Climate Change Analysis Tool, which enables AT&T to visualize the impacts of climate change on our business operations – at the neighborhood level – 30 years into the future. AT&T will discuss how they have made that data available for the public and discuss its Climate Challenge, in which local municipalities and universities are coming together to use this newly developed climate data. There will also be a brief discussion on a recent survey AT&T conducted that sheds light on what businesses think about climate change and what steps they are taking to prepare.
